Ms. Brynn, our 2nd grade student teacher, has started a graphing activity to go along with our Social Studies unit on the Olympics. The kids were anxious to put up the medals that were won over the weekend by six different countries. Go Team USA!
Thank you to Shelli and Amy for teaching our students the importance of dental health and how to take good care of our teeth. This was a great way to kick of National Pediatric Dental Awareness Month.
Congratulations to three Galva FFA / Galva High School graduates as they pursue the American FFA Degree.
C. Ruhl, M. Craig, and C. O’Brien have successfully submitted their SAE records and American FFA Degree applications and are interviewing this week.
The American FFA Degree is the highest level of membership an FFA member can achieve, and these outstanding individuals have advanced to the final round of interviews—an incredible accomplishment.
We wish them the very best of luck and send a big Wildcat shout-out to let them know how proud we are of all they’ve achieved! 💙💛

Today, the seniors of the boys basketball team surprised their teachers. For these students, these teachers made an impact beyond academics and these young athletes wanted their teachers to know that they have made a difference.

LTC Girls Varsity Basketball Tournament hosted by Abingdon and played at Abingdon. The games will be on Feb 7, Feb 9, and Feb 11.
Scholastic Bowl had two matches last night at Bureau Valley.
JV continues to build their experience. They were playing with 4 players last night and fell in both matches.
The Varsity team split their matches, losing to Bureau Valley 160-110.
They were victorious against United with a finial score of 220-80!

On Wednesday, our Pre K classes celebrated our 100th day of school by dressing up as their 100 year old self! Happy 100th Day!
The second grade has been learning about Abraham Lincoln during their Social Studies time. We have just started working on recognizing coins for our math series also. We have had talks about how the penny is starting to be phased out while reading in our Time for Kids magazines. We enjoyed making some Abraham Lincoln crafts to hang up to decorate the hallway.
