As we wind down our Teacher Appreciation Week 2026, I want to offer a sincere thank you to all of our teachers at Galva Elementary School. Behind the scenes, hours of worry, care, and planning are put into the final product that we know as an 8:00-3:00 session. A career in education requires a depth of compassion and dedication that our students deserve. The teachers at Galva Elementary are a special group of people and I am so grateful for the time and energy they dedicate in ensuring our students are safe, loved, and learning. THANK YOU today and always!

The second grade was excited to have Kristine Anderson from the State Bank of Toulon. as their Junior Achievement volunteer this year. Kristine helped them learn about our community. They were sad that it was her last week to be in the classroom with them, but she did bring sunglasses and bubbles for everyone to help start out the days leading up to their summer break. Thanks Kristine and the State Bank of Toulon!

We would like to thank Paula Jansen from the Henry County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program as she transitions into retirement. We have enjoyed having her for the last several years in our K-3 classrooms as she spreads knowledge about agriculture. Best of luck Paula!
