Great time at the 10th annual "Dinner with Dale" last night. In preparation for the Dale Collis Relays, we have dinner and do a Q and A with Coach Collis. Tonight's theme was trying something different and trusting the results. We are lucky to have this living legend in our town!

We have wrapped up solo and ensemble season for Galva music. We are very proud of numerous students who achieved Division I and Division II ratings on their solos and ensembles between IHSA and IESA in choir and band. We also had four Best of the Day award winners! Brielle Jeffrey. Deirdre Light, Fiona Light, and Madelyn McCurdy all received Best of the Day in their respective performance rooms! Congratulations to all!

Orion softball game update. The game on April 14 at Orion is postponed to TBA.

The presale for the carnival wristbands ends this Friday the 17th! If you need another form, please contact the office.

Athletics 4/14/2026- Baseball has been canceled. Softball is traveling to Orion for a 4:30 PM start time.

Attention Elementary Families with a Kindergartener in 2026-2027: We are excited to announce our Kindergarten Round-Up Night 2026. This event will take place on Wednesday, May 13th, from 5:30-6:30 PM. This is for ALL 2026-2027 Kindergarten students. Any students who are not currently enrolled in Galva PreK will stick around after 6:00 for a brief student screening. Save the Date!

The Jr. High track meet was back in action at BV yesterday evening! Despite the challenge of back-to-back meets some of our ladies had a big night! Sam Fox set a personal best in both of her events! She shaved time off of her 800 m, finishing in 3:57.61! She also added distance to her best disc throw, throwing a distance of 14.09 m! Chloe Anderson also had a big night throwing. She finished 4th in shot put, throwing 4.89 m and she set a new personal best in disc, throwing 10.59 m! Ellie Sellers finished 1st in the 100 m, with a time of 14.25! Elsie Fox set a personal best in the 100 m, running a 17.38! Parker Kaiser ran a great 1600 m, finishing 4th with a time of 7:07.87! Izabella Carlton finished 7th in the 400 m with a time of 1:30.86. Great job wildcats!

The Galva Varsity Wildcats grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 4-3, over Annawan-Wethersfield in the first game of a double header on Saturday. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the seventh when Danielle Wigant hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Galva Varsity Wildcats opened the scoring in the second after Jovie Weber singled, scoring one run. Later in the game, Kaylyn Gale homered to right field, and Sarah Burris grounded out, each scoring one run. Weber started in the circle for Galva Varsity Wildcats. She gave up seven hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking two. Kaylyn Gale, Weber, and Wigant each drove in one run for Galva Varsity Wildcats. Alison Bussell led Galva Varsity Wildcats with three hits in four at bats. The Wildcats lost the second game of the double header.
