Hello 7th Grade Families,
I am reaching out to inform you of an informational parent meeting that will occur on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Jr/Sr HS Library. At this meeting, we will discuss the 2026 Washington D.C./Williamsburg/Virginia Beach Trip for current 7th Graders. This trip is scheduled to occur from June 7, 2026 - June 13, 2026. The topics will focus on cost, payments, and security. This is always an epic trip and a great tradition at Galva Junior High! We hope to continue our history of amazing travel opportunities for our students. Please plan to attend if your child is interested in traveling in the summer of 2026. Students are not required to attend but are welcome to attend with a parent/guardian.

The second grade wrapped up a fun mini-lesson on Abraham Lincoln, learning how to draw the 16th president of the United States! In honor of his birthday today, which is observed as a holiday for some government offices in Illinois, students also explored his impact on money during their math lessons. It was a great way to connect history and math in an engaging way!
