The high school cross country boys had a great race at Detweiller park today! Bryant Jeffrey ran his best time this season finishing in 19:31! Randal Engels ran his second best time this season, finishing in 20:59! John Clemons shaved some more time off of his PR finishing in 23:17! Great job team!

On Thursday, Mrs. Price's 8th grade class tested their Egg Drop devices. All except two survived! Can you guess which ones survived?! (Part 2)

Crescent City is doing Friday Night Pizza after the game on October 17, 2025. They are having extended hours until 10:00 PM so go and check out the pizza specials or order off the full menu. In addition, the player of the week wins a dinner after the game paid for by Crescent City Tap and his family will have 10% off their bill. The winner this week is JP Sloan for 110 yds rushing and 3 touchdowns at the Peoria Heights Game. So go see everyone at the Crescent City Tap after the game with Ridgewood!

REMINDER: Elementary Fall Picture RETAKE DAY is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 10-17-25. If your child is interested in a picture retake, please plan for this Friday.

The final two football games for the JH have changed locations for the next two Saturday games. Saturday, October 18 the JH Football team will travel to Peoria Heights for a game with a 10 AM start time.  Saturday, October 25th the JH Football team will host West Central, playing its final game of the season. Being the final game, there will also be a recognition of the 8th grade athletes who have participated this season prior to its start. This game will have a start time of noon.

Thursday, November 6, 2025 11:45 AM GHS Gym This special event will make a mark in Galva History as the first Jr High FFA Chapter at Galva Jr Sr High School. It is not only about signatures on a paper, but the leadership, growth, and commitment that these Jr High students will have a chance to achieve. The following boys got 1st place on Saturday at the FFA Section 3 Trap Shooting Competition. Milan Craig, Jacob Gravitt and Cayden Gustafson.

The Illinois Clay Target League Galva team is in 2nd place...only two points out of first place!

Keep taking out those clay pigeons, Wildcats!

Galva Jr. Sr. High School will be holding retakes on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025.

Tomorrow, our Juniors will be taking the PSAT. Please have your student to school by 8:00am. A hot breakfast will be served, and then testing will begin. Juniors will eat lunch and return to classes after testing is completed.

Wednesday, October 15th is School Picture Retake Day for Galva Jr/Sr High School. This will take place in the morning. Picture forms are in the office.
