Hello Everyone,
As announced by Mr. Becker, Tuesday 1-9-24 will be an E-Learning Day for Galva CUSD #224. There will NOT be in-person classes on 1-9-24. An E-Learning Day runs from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. At Galva Elementary School, we fully understand the challenges for teachers, students, and families regarding E-Learning Days. While not a perfect system, we believe that we can provide valuable instruction for our students while attending to any challenges when students return to school. Please be aware of the following items regarding E-Learning Days for your child:
E-Learning Days run from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Teachers will be available by email or Google Classroom to attend to student/parent questions and needs. They will check their email at least once per hour to check for any questions or concerns.
If you have internet/power outages or other technical difficulties, please contact your child’s teacher at your earliest convenience by email or note that day or when your child returns to school. Our staff understands that issues arise and we will account for those issues when your child returns.
Attendance is taken when your child submits ALL required assignments from the E-Learning Day. Any questions your child might have from assignments can also be answered upon their return to school.
Please be patient regarding attendance for an E-Learning Day as our teachers will work to ensure that they have received all completed assignments from your child. They will communicate any incomplete work to our Elementary Office that might result in an “absence.”
Many of your child’s teachers sent an E-Learning Packet home with your child in November. If your child did not receive a packet, please seek instruction from your child’s teacher by email or through Google Classroom.
Again, Galva Elementary School thanks you for your patience and understanding with our District E-Learning Days. We hope to provide valuable learning for our students while also having the ability to complete attendance days during inclement weather. If you have additional questions regarding Galva CUSD #224 E-Learning Days, please click on the link below to access our Board-approved E-Learning Plan under “Parent Resources.”
