
The second-grade class enjoyed Kristine Anderson of the State Bank of Toulon joining our class today for our Junior Achievement. We are learning about jobs in our community.




Second grade enjoyed Mrs Janson coming in with Ag in the Classroom to teach us about Recycling. We enjoyed a story, a game, and making a recycling bracelet.

Mrs. Main's first period Agriculture Students are identifying our new chicks this morning.




Our 5th-grade classes celebrated their winning poster with an outdoor pizza party! Kewanee Family Dentistry sponsored the contest and provided our students with pizza and drinks to celebrate. Thank you to Dr. Monzon and his staff! Great work, 5th-grade! #GalvaProud #WildcatNation







During state testing, Mrs. Corkill's 2nd-grade class supported and encouraged Mrs. Dooley's 4th-graders. Before the break, they celebrated together by playing Easter Bingo.





2nd graders nailed the snack game for eclipse day as they enjoyed some Capri Sun and Sun Chips. It made their viewing experience a bit more special! ☀️ 🌞









Students took science class to a different level today as they were able to experience a solar eclipse with nearly 90% totality. Many students utilized the provided glasses and even created eclipse masks to go along with their glasses. It was a great learning experience for everyone involved! #GalvaProud

Thank you to everyone who supported our Spring Scholastic Book Fair recently! The purchases by students and families resulted in $2706.61 scholastic dollars that can be used by the Galva Elementary Library for new books and resources! We are so appreciative of the support from everyone at both of our book fairs this school year. #WildcatNation

Our 2nd grade students excitedly continued their visits to Courtyard Estates to read with our friends down the road! Thank you to Galva Rotary and the HS Interact Club for assisting with the visit! Our 2nd graders also received some new books to take home from the Rotary Club!








Fourth-grade students had guests from the Henry County Farm Bureau today. The Henry County Farm Bureau Young Leaders shared with students about the many careers associated with agriculture. Students learned there are more than 23 million agriculture-related careers, yet only 1% of the earth’s population has a job in agriculture.
