The Galva High School Marching Band was representing GHS in the annual Hog Days Parade in Kewanee today!
The galva Jr. high girls had another great run at the Michele Stewart Invite in Chillicothe! Parker Kaiser and Layla Anderson finished together with times of 18:15 and 18:21 respectively! Iris Mosley got a personal best time and she finished with newcomer Sammy Fox. The girls finished together sharing a time of 19:10!
Reminder that EVERY guardian should be downloading the school app and activating Rooms! This is our new communication system for students. School Picture Day is Wednesday, September 4. There are order forms available in the office. Photos can also be ordered online after proofs are distributed.
As a part of our attendance discussion with students, we are working to remind them how to stay healthy and in school. Having these same conversations at home is a huge help and we appreciate it!

Mrs. Dooley, Mrs. Richards, and Mrs. Norway are spending the day learning new computer science ideas for elementary school! We can't wait to try these activities out with our students!
Don't forget to come visit our Story Walk! New stories are put up every month. Brought to you by a partnership from the Galva High School Library and FFA. The story walk is located at Galva High School, and is open to the public when school is not in session. Take a stroll, read a story, and view the Prairie! Some of you haven't been out to the prairie since Mr. Collis had you sketching plants in biology, come check it out!

Today is the first day of our 3:00pm Dismissal Schedule.
Today's softball game has been rescheduled to Monday, Sept 9th.
As we gear up for our Elementary attendance competitions next week, we want to remind our students and families how absences can severely impact student learning. We want all of our students here. #AttendanceMatters
