Mrs. Dooley, Mrs. Richards, and Mrs. Norway are spending the day learning new computer science ideas for elementary school! We can't wait to try these activities out with our students!

Don't forget to come visit our Story Walk! New stories are put up every month. Brought to you by a partnership from the Galva High School Library and FFA. The story walk is located at Galva High School, and is open to the public when school is not in session. Take a stroll, read a story, and view the Prairie! Some of you haven't been out to the prairie since Mr. Collis had you sketching plants in biology, come check it out!

Today is the first day of our 3:00pm Dismissal Schedule.

Today's softball game has been rescheduled to Monday, Sept 9th.

As we gear up for our Elementary attendance competitions next week, we want to remind our students and families how absences can severely impact student learning. We want all of our students here. #AttendanceMatters

Wildcat Athletics has all competitions for 8/26 and 8/27 postponed. Practices have been adjusted. If you have any questions about practices, please contact the coach.

Good Afternoon,
As mentioned in the Weekly Newsletter, please don't forget to sign up for your child's "Rooms" access. "Rooms" is our district's new method for communicating anything and everything related to your child's classroom. If you have multiple children, you will have the ability to toggle between each child. You should be expecting a new email this week delivered to the email you have in PowerSchool that will include an invitation to join your child's "Room."
A few reminders:
1. You need to download the Galva CUSD 224 app on your iPhone or Android
2. You can toggle between the school app and "Rooms" using the button on the bottom right corner of the screen
3. "Rooms" are the primary method of teacher-to-parent communication along with email. Please ensure you have access to your child's "Room."

JH baseball results against SC. A tough loss 9-5. Highlights are Kaison Wood pitched well: struck out 6, walked 3. Jeb DeCrane continued his hitting streak getting a hit and driving in a run. Sawyer Hulstrom had 2 hits and drove in 2.

The Mobile Dental Clinic is returning in September. Don't miss this opportunity for your child.

The Jr. High cross country team had a good first meet with beautiful weather in Princeton! This course is short of the usual 2 miles, so I expect an increase in times at our next race. John Clemons had a great first race with a time of 14:27, along with Parker Kaiser with a time of 16:06. Returning athlete, Layla Anderson, had a great start to her season with a time of 14:57.

Reminder: Friday, August 23 is a 1:55 Dismissal
