United JH defeated the Wildcats 15-1 but they did put up a fight. Klaire Gale had six strikeouts, Lexie Traff, Avery McAdam, and Emma Nance were the lead hitters.

Tonight is Locker Night for Galva Jr/Sr High School from 4:00 to 6:00pm! Stop out to meet teachers and enjoy some ice cream.

JH Softball against Ridgewood ran the time limit and ended in a 12-12 tie. Lolabel Leaf started the scoring. We scored 7 runs in the top of the 4th, leading 8-7. Top of the 8th inning, Grace Conrad helps Galva 12-11. Tied at the bottom of the 8th. Leaf had 3 RBIs, Conrad, Glaser, Traff had multiple hits and the Cats stole 9 bases and turned 2 double plays. Go Cats!
Today, August 11, 2025, JH Softball will compete against Ridgewood with a 4:30 start time @ Hand Park in Cambridge. The address is North 2nd Street. Go Cats!

Reminder that practice starts tomorrow from 3:30-5:30. There will be a short parent meeting to follow. Remember you have to have a physical and a concussion baseline test prior to practice. If you do not have them, you will not be allowed to practice. The concussion testing is offered at the HS school tomorrow from 1-4 in Ms. Conlin’s room.

IHSA Fall Sports season officially begins on Monday (8.11.25). For those student-athletes needing a concussion test, this will take place on Monday from 1 - 4 pm. You will meet with Trainer Kylee in her HS classroom to have this done. Remember, this MUST be done before you can begin practice. ALL FRESHMEN NEED TO ATTEND THIS, who plan on playing any sport. If you have any physicals or health paperwork, you can also drop things off at this time. If you aren't sure what you need to have completed before starting practice, email Nurse West or Trainer Kylee, and they will let you know.
HS Volleyball Practices will begin on Monday.
HS gym from 3:15 - 6:15 pm.
Parent Meeting at 6:30 pm in the HS gym.
