Last Friday two of our 6th Grade students were recognized at the Illinois Principals Association Leadership Breakfast at Vibrant Arena in Moline. Elizabeth Sellers and Greta Wigant were nominated by their teachers for this award for their leadership efforts in the classroom and throughout school. Congratulations to them both!

Attention K-Kids Families:
Due to the forecasted severe weather on Tuesday afternoon, the K-Kids meeting scheduled on 4-16-24 after school has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

Congratulations to Iris Mosley for being named the winner of the Young Leaders “Farm Gate to Dinner Plate” 4th grade T-shirt Contest! The Henry County Farm Bureau and Gold Star FS helped to award t-shirts to Iris and her class. #GalvaProud


The second-grade class enjoyed Kristine Anderson of the State Bank of Toulon joining our class today for our Junior Achievement. We are learning about jobs in our community.



Second grade enjoyed Mrs Janson coming in with Ag in the Classroom to teach us about Recycling. We enjoyed a story, a game, and making a recycling bracelet.




Thank you Mr. Norway for making sure that everyone had glasses to view the solar eclipse! Second grade loved this opportunity.

Come out tonight for our first home track meet of the season! The Dale Collis Invitational starts at 4:00 today! Dale is a living legend around here! He was a long time educator and coach in the Galva School District. Mrs. Main's first period Agriculture Students are identifying our new chicks this morning.



Our 5th-grade classes celebrated their winning poster with an outdoor pizza party! Kewanee Family Dentistry sponsored the contest and provided our students with pizza and drinks to celebrate. Thank you to Dr. Monzon and his staff! Great work, 5th-grade! #GalvaProud #WildcatNation






During state testing, Mrs. Corkill's 2nd-grade class supported and encouraged Mrs. Dooley's 4th-graders. Before the break, they celebrated together by playing Easter Bingo.




2nd graders nailed the snack game for eclipse day as they enjoyed some Capri Sun and Sun Chips. It made their viewing experience a bit more special! ☀️ 🌞








Students took science class to a different level today as they were able to experience a solar eclipse with nearly 90% totality. Many students utilized the provided glasses and even created eclipse masks to go along with their glasses. It was a great learning experience for everyone involved! #GalvaProud
