Good luck to our High School Cross Country runners in Kewanee today!
The Jr. High cross country team had a great race at Detweiller Park today! This is a flat course, but longer than most at 2.1 miles. Our athletes also compete against over 400-500 other athletes. Parker Kaiser got her second best time finishing in 17:56. Iris Mosley pushes herself to run with Parker and cut a minute off of her best time, finishing in 18:11!!! Layla Anderson had a good race finishing in 19:15. Sammy Fox got her 3rd best time this season finishing in 22:06. The boys both ran their second best times! Ryker Yelm finished in 17:25 and John Clemons finished in 17:37. Great job athletes, we can't wait to see what you do in our last couple of meets this season!

📚 💙💛 Our 3rd graders joined members of the HS Interact Club for an afternoon reading session with residents at Courtyard Estates. This is an important partnership between our students and the Galva Rotary Club. They love being able to visit with our neighbors down the street over a great book!
The high school cross country team was not in the mood for a meet yesterday, but they all ran well on the hilly course at Baker Park! Randal Engels ran his 2nd best time this season, finishing in 22:35. Bryant Jeffrey finished in 20:45. The girls persevered, Charlotte Farmer finished in 29:11 and Emma Farmer finished in 30:11!
The high school team is back in action at Baker on Saturday. Come out to cheer them on and see if they can improve their times! Races start at 10:00 AM.

Galva FFA Members - Sign up to help with the Jordbruksdagarna - Ag Day Festivities. GHS FFA members staff the cider press, corn husk doll, brick making, corn shelling, and sorghum press stations.

Congratulations to the Galva FFA Members who participated in the ICC Forestry Invitational. Our team of three placed 8th out of 14 teams in the competition. Cheyanne Bell was the Top Team member.
