1920s Mystery Night

What: Fundraiser benefiting Galva High School Local Literature class and Drama Club. The mystery is based on real Henry County history and was researched and written by Local Literature students using historical Galva newspapers.

When: November 18th, 2023 6-9 pm

Where: Dairy Building 103 Bishop Hill St. in Bishop Hill

Cost: $10 per ticket. Includes 1920s-inspired snacks and drinks and a 1920s dance demonstration by the Galva HS Dance Drill Team.

Frequently Asked Questions:

·         All ages welcome. Reading material level will be geared towards adults; younger children may need to be aided by an adult.

·         All ticket holders are characters who help solve the mystery.

·         1920s costumes are encouraged but not required.

·         Once 40 tickets are sold, ticket sales may be closed. All tickets must be purchased by Friday, Nov. 10th.

·         Please pay for ticket(s) at the time of purchase. Cash or checks. Checks should be made out to Galva Drama Club. 

Tickets can be purchased by speaking to a participating student or through the HS office.

Important: When a ticket is purchased, please provide an email address for each participant. Character information will be emailed the week leading up to the event. Also, indicate if each participant would rather be a suspect or a bystander.

Suspect: investigates the mystery. Might be the culprit. Culprits are not aware if they committed the crime or not until the mystery is solved.

Bystander: investigates the mystery but is probably not directly involved with the crime.
