I am happy to announce that the 2022-2023 Annual School Report Card is complete and all three schools in Galva CUSD #224 received a rating of Commendable. Some highlights include:
Galva Jr/Sr High School exceeded the state average in growth for math and ELA, doubled their proficiency score in ELA, and achieved 91% of Freshmen on track.
Galva Elementary exceeded the state in science proficiency and growth in both math and ELA. The school received an index score of 75.62, 6 points away from an Exemplary rating!
I am proud of the hard work and effort our students and staff have shown two years after the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal heading into the 2022-2023 school year was getting back to "teaching and learning" and we are well on our way. There is still work to do, but I am confident that our faculty and staff are moving us in the right direction.
