Fourth-grade students have been learning about energy and energy transfer. For an engineering project, the students created their own chain reaction machines to show transfers of energy. They learned to design their chain reactions from the end to the beginning. Their goal was to have at least 2 energy transfers and a "secret message" revealed at the end.
